Today I want to talk about a client who represents consistency, effort, and who pushes and gets better each and every time she comes to work out.
Meet Lillibeth!!!!
Lillibeth: squatting with a Single Arm Racked position in her left hand.
Lillibeth came to Core Principles less than 6 months ago. In that time she has learned what it means to hinge, squat, push, pull, and carry. We have thrown a ton of information at her and in every instance she has adapted and persevered. She lifts weights, she slams med balls like thunder, jumps like Lebron James, and moves through every conditioning set with careful thought and focused intention.
What is Lillibeth’s secret, you might ask?
Simple.
Consistency!!!!!!
She shows up every Tuesday and Thursday morning at the exact same time. Whether there is a group of 8, 4, 2 or just her, she shows up. If she has registered herself in MindBody, I know she is going to be there. She is committed to working hard, learning skills, and getting better.
We often talk about consistency, commitment, and hard work, but seldom have great representations of what it looks like. Lillibeth is that example.
Now, like you Lillibeth is human, and I am sure at times she has been tired and wanted to hit the snooze button. However, the difference is she understands that this time is hers and she has a body that she wants to honor and keep healthy.
She uses the Core Principles methods and coaching to help her get better. She has found a time that works for her schedule and she sticks to it. 2 days a week at 6 in the morning is the time she can afford to work on those health priorities. She is not trying to overdo this, and go ape for 6 months everyday for two hours. Rather she has committed herself to something that is for the long haul. In an effort to get a little extra activity, she tries to get outside with the family and play. Whether it’s a family gathering, something for her kids, or a hike, she tries to move a bit extra when she can.
Lillbeth represents consistency, effort, and the characteristics of what it means to be a hard worker, and we absolutely love to coach her. Keep it up Lillibeth and we will continue to try and make your physical goals a reality.
