Do you ever feel like your eating is on autopilot?
Many times people are just going through their day and eating haphazardly, without any kind of routine in place. It can be really challenging to learn to listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues when you eat this way! Many of my clients have said they don’t know where to start because they feel like they’ve totally lost control of their eating. It can feel so defeating when it seems like we will never get a handle on our eating behaviors. If you have felt this way, then you are NOT alone! I’ve even heard it described as an “out of body” experience; like they suddenly wake up and realize they’ve eaten a whole pint of ice cream.
I am here to tell you, that it does NOT have to be this way. You can get back into the driver’s seat of your food choices with a few simple tips.
