What My Meal Prep Looks Like

Are you tired of seeing recipes and meal prep ideas that take hours and hours to finish?

If you’re like most people, you have important goals but also don’t have 8 hours on a Sunday to make perfectly portioned complex meals for the whole family.

Today I want to share with you the simple meal prep routine I have been doing for the past few weeks.

Now before I start I want to be clear that this is so simple it’s probably nothing new and will seem pretty obvious.

That is exactly what I want! I want today to be a reminder that simplicity is your friend!

Here we go,

I started by dicing up some chicken breast into about 2-inch cubes. Then I placed the chicken in a bag with some olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and a little salt.

Next, I took 1 green squash, 1 yellow squash, a few bell peppers, and white onion and cut them into about 2-inch cubes. I placed them in a bowl with a little olive oil and Tajin seasoning.

Next, I defrosted some shrimp and sprinkled a little lemon pepper on the shrimp. I took some wooden squires and added the chicken, veggies, and shrimp.

Next, I had some chicken drumsticks, so I dried them with a paper towel and added teriyaki sauce to half and salt and pepper to the other half.

Threw it all on the grill and let them cook!!

Again, I know this was not a fancy recipe, not a cool new hack you have never heard of. I kept it simple.

Found a few different protein sources, added some veggies and seasoned things a little differently.

That way I have a few different lunches for the week but I don’t get sick of eating the same thing day in and day out.

Look how good it turned out!!

Do you have other simple ideas or seasonings you love?

If so please share! I always enjoy trying new foods.

Cheers to simplicity!
