You think you need more motivation but…

If you’re working on some type of new eating skill or behavior change and maybe you “slip up” or get “off track”, and you feel like you failed or you need to start from square one again. Or maybe you’re like me and you start to hear those perfectionistic thoughts creeping in. If that sounds like you, sometimes the best place to put in your effort isn’t to get the eating behavior executed “perfectly” but just to NOT QUIT.

Perfectionism can get us stuck in the habit of re-starting our diets on Monday over and over again. Have you ever been there? I know I have!

When we don’t have the motivation or enthusiasm, or if we stray from our desired eating behaviors, it’s easy to think “I just need to get started again…on Monday”
